Lepidopterarium

Paper objects

This project explores the multilayered experience of a specific place by transforming urban environments into spatial images. Through walking, observing, and photographing architecture, familiar elements are removed from their original context and reimagined within a personal, internal urban landscape.

Architectural fragments become aesthetic objects—disconnected from function, they form part of a new structure. These compositions echo the process of collecting and classifying, much like arranging butterflies in display cases. The title Lepidoterarium refers to this metaphor: an archive of captured forms, moments, and impressions from the city, suspended in a new order.
